Description

Product Description

Compac Portoro quartz is a black background stone with white veins that uses a BIO resin to bind together grains of quartz and other minerals plus colouring agents, into a flexible and adaptable surface that can be used for flooring, wall cladding and worktops.

As well as being sustainably sourced, the inclusion of polymer resins adds definite benefits during the fabricating and installation processes. These key features arise from the fact that in Compac Portoro quartz, there are no pore spaces. From the end user’s perspective, this means no opportunity for water penetration, and no hiding place for germs and bacteria, a concern in any kitchen. The blending of two or more materials results in patterns which are consistent throughout the manufacturing run, but with details that are always unique: no two areas of any particular worktop will be completely identical.

Compac, the Surfaces Company, is a renowned manufacturer of conglomerate products with 5 lines for their production of quartz and bases in all 5 continents.  Compac started their production back in the 70’s with Technical marble conglomerate which is available to date, supplying some of the most prestigious establishments worldwide.

Compac introduced their Technical quartz in the 90’s and has since become one of the leaders in quartz production worldwide, through the launch of innovative materials and colours including Compac Absolute Blanc in collaboration with designer Karim Rashid, Compac Carrara made out of Bio Resins and more recently the exclusive Compac Unique Calacatta which reinterprets the beauty of natural marble from Italy.
