Arabescato natural marble is a stone extracted in the north of Italy with a distinctive grey pattern on an inviting pure white backdrop. This stone is selected from a wide variety of blocks in quarries located in between Apuane and Versilia. Arabescato natural marble is very popular in applications such as worktops, monuments, mosaics, flooring and exteriors and has proven its versatility throughout the ages.

Arabescato natural marble is a timeless classic that offers a resistant surface for areas that require a natural stone that is versatile, decadent and unique in terms of style.

Arabescato marble comes in standard slab thicknesses of 20mm and 30mm with thicknesses of over 40mm on special order. Finishes in polished and honed are the popular for most applications, with satin and leather proving favoured on traditional furniture and bathroom design.

Marble is formed from sedimentary rocks that have suffered a natural crystallization of the original minerals, resulting in interlocking stone rocks that vary in appearance according to the different minerals that compose it; which can be silica, sand, clay and iron oxides among others. These natural impurities allow for an endless variation of stone types which have made marble the most famous natural stone in the world.

Marble has been used since ancient times in the construction of monuments (Taj Mahal in India, Marble Arch in London, etc), statues (David by Michelangelo and paving amongst establishments of kings and emperors.

Marble comes in slab formats with standard thicknesses of 20mm and 30mm and can also be sourced in thicker sheets and blocks for special projects
