Arezzo quartzite is a brown background stone that comprises a beautiful array of veining in pink and rose tones, originally quarries in the regions of central to northern Brazil where the material is extracted and processed into blocks for subsequent export to the UK and the rest of Europe.
Arezzo quartzite characteristics’ lends themselves to applications such as feature walls and floorings, bathroom coverings that require materials with a compact structure and beautiful colours as well as for applications in kitchens that include worktops, splashbacks and upstands. The material is amongst the strongest on earth and only surpassed by Diamond and Ruby when it comes to its sturdiness, which results in a unique natural stone that is suitable for interior and exterior applications.
In exteriors, Arezzo quartzite is popular for flooring, steps and stairs as well as in areas in balconies, patios and terraces. Due to the inherent large sheets in which the material is available, applications with large panels and seamless joints are commonly used to display the natural beauty of the stone in focal areas.
Arezzo’s most popular finish is in polished slabs as it allows to display the full brilliance and richness of the material with some projects specifying the quartzite in a leather finish which is generally requested for traditional and classic designs. Arezzo is also a great alternative to marbles such as Marron Emperador or Imperial Brown as the lack of calcium in quartzite ensures its surfaces have no risks of etching when exposed to acidic foods and liquids.
