  1. I have Silestone Soapstone with a suede finish and I am having a hard time with some stubborn water rings that I just can’t get to go away. Also when I wipe it down with cleaner (I use VIM Active Fiz as recommended) its almost impossible to get all the wipe marks off. Any suggestions for other cleaning options will be greatly appreciated

    1. Dear Walter,

Ring marks from water are a common issue on any black surface that is matt, not only quartz stone. Rather than being an issue of the stone, the marks are usually due to high levels of limescale in the water in certain areas of the country.
You can try a little bit of Bar Keepers’ Power Spray which can be purchased online and follow these steps:
      1) Spray a small area of the affected surface
      2) Rub in circular motions with a white scouring pad (the quartz surface won’t get scratched) until it becomes a foamy solution.
      3) Leave it to act for 1 minute and then rinse with plenty of warm water (to remove any grease for the surfaces)
      4) If you see the desired results, move over to the rest of the worktop surfaces, to complete all surfaces with the same level of cleanliness.

If you see the above method cleans it partially, then repeat. You may be surprised if it removes it very quickly.
If the above method does not work for you, please feel free to get in touch with us over the telephone, so that we can relay your case to one of our technicians.

      Best regards,

      The MKW Surfaces Team

  2. Hello,

I can confirm the same issue with water stains and glass or bottle rings, probably wine or other drinks that will not come out. This finish is not esay to clean as I am forever wiping every drop of liquid ASAP. Should a sealer be used? What is the best cleaner?
