CRL Quartz London

CRL Quartz London worktops installed by MKW Surfaces in a property located in Mill Hill near Edgware, London. Although the kitchen of the property does not lack light, the homeowners needed brilliant white quartz worktops. This would enable them to complete this minimalistic design. In addition to brilliance, the busy household commissioned a stone that was sturdy and highly resistant to stains. This was in case accidental impact or spillages occurred. It also adds extra protection for when the children play in the open-plan space.

Coupled with the busy lifestyle, the specification was made in a way that the material selected would have timeless appeal. This was so, that in case the family wishes to sale the property. Similarly, it would enable the family to move to a bigger house in the future, should they decide to have more children. Another important factor was to find a sheet of stone long enough so that the kitchen island and main worktops with length of 3.3 metres, could be installed with a seamless design. As importantly, this would avoid placing any joints throughout the entire worktop design.

The team at MKW Surfaces, alongside the interior designer searched across the entire market for some of the whitest quartz stones. After consultation and initial planning, the client selected CRL Ultra White Quartz. One of the main advantages of this material is that it does not require sealing. Additionally,  it can be maintained with a little bit of warm, soapy water and a cloth making it very practical.

Yet there was a decisive factor for the homeowners for the selection of the popular quartz stone by CRL. This is the high gloss and brilliance of the CRL Ultra White when compared to quartz from other brands during the selection process. In addition to offering one of the whitest quartz stones in the market, CRL Quartz London is available in Jumbo slabs with dimensions of 3360x1650mm. This makes it ideal for creating seamless designs with extra large pieces.
The main worktops were installed with quartz in Compac Smoke Gray, making great contrast with CRL Quartz London in Ultra White.
