Product Description

Neolith Iron Blue is a compact sintered porcelain material with a chromatic pattern in blue tones with a touch of metallic oxide colours which enhance the beauty of the product and enables the user to create multiple designs with a daring aspect.

Neolith Iron Blue is a new colour made with the latest technological advances, allowing for new architectural possibilities that include an alloy and gilded appearance.

The practically zero water absorption and the resistant to heat, scratches and stains, makes this product a great specification to areas in which it was not previously possible to work within such scale.

Neolith is the leader in Sintered Porcelain surface in the world. With origins in 2009, The Size Surfaces is a revolutionary Company that draws on the experience of its members who have over 40 years of experience in the natural stone industry.

You can choose Neolith Iron Blue in several thicknesses and sizes which make it perfect for any type of project. Iron Blue is available in slab formats of 3200 x 1600 mm ( 12 mm and 20 mm thickness), 3200 x 1500 mm (6 mm thickness), 3600 x 1200 mm ( 3mm and 6 mm thickness) and 2600 x 1600 mm (6 mm thickness).

Similarly, different thicknesses of this material make it ideal for kitchen worktops, countertops or cladding of walls and furniture. If versatility wasn’t enough, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is an available manufacturer’s warranty of 10 years for all Neolith residential installations.

Features and benefits of using Neolith Iron Blue:

  • RESISTANT TO UV RAYS: Since the colour is 100% natural, it does not deteriorate when exposed to the sun or extreme temperatures over long periods of time.
  • LIGHT: The 3 mm board is only 7 kg/m² and the 12 mm board, 30 kg/m² making it easy to work with on any type of application including cladding and wall panelling.
  • RESISTANT TO HIGH TEMPERATURES: Neolith Does not burn in contact with fire or let off smoke or toxic substances making it a safe material for both residential and commercial premises
  • SCRATCH-RESISTANT: Neolith Surfaces are highly resistant to scratching and abrasion due to the hardness of the material.
  • RESISTANT TO ICE AND FREEZING: Neolith is resistant to extreme cold and weather conditions, making it suitable for exterior applications which include patio benches, barbecues, tabletops and external flooring among many other uses.
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Neolith is resistant to chemical cleaning agents and although soapy water will maintain its surfaces pristinely, other household products can also be used on it.
  • 100% RECYCLABLE: Up to 52% of any Neolith board is comprised of recycled raw materials.
  • WATERPROOF: Waterproof and liquid-resistant. With an absorption level near zero, Neolith is extremely resistant to staining and it does not etch.

  • HYGIENIC: Neolith does not release harmful substances

How can I clean Neolith Iron Blue?

Use a microfiber cloth to remove dust from the surface. Clean your Neolith countertop daily if required. you can use warm water, to which a detergent can be added, ensuring grease marks are easily removed. Since detergents may contain waxes, after some washes, these can leave an oily film on the surface. You could also use a window cleaning spray from any major brand. Not only that it will recover its original sheen, but you can also use the spar daily to maintain Neolith surfaces.

Cleaning should be limited to immediately rinse the spills off the surface and dry with an absorbent cloth. For daily cleaning use only a damp cloth with water and soap. For embedded stains, pour warm water on the stain then wait till it “loosens” and finally rinse or remove with a clean cloth. Avoid using pads, rough sponges and steel wool.

TheSize recommends using a blue pad: made with soft fibres, suitable for cleaning of glass, kitchen appliance and nonstick frying pans. Do not use caustic soda or products with a pH greater than 11. If you use bleach, rinse with plenty of water and never leave it in permanent contact with the Neolith polished surface.

Avoid cleaning the surface with abrasive cleaners such as Cif Cream (Soft Scrub Cream Cleansers). Use pads, cloths, napkins and glass coasters to place cooking pots or other kitchen hardware on the surface. Never cut food directly on the counter, use a cutting or chopping board. Do not pull or drag kitchenware, pans and appliances on the counter.

Suitable products for cleaning the Neolith polished worktops:

  • Oven cleaner
  • Degreasers
  • Ammonia
  • Solvents

Products not suitable to clean Neolith polished surfaces:

  • Abrasive cleaners
  • Abrasive sponges
  • Bleach
  • Ferrokit
  • Hydrofluoric Acid
  • Scrub Cleaning Creams (i.e. CIF, etc)

Can Neolith Iron Blue be repaired?

Ceramic surfaces can get damaged for a variety of reasons. Most often it’s due to an impact from a heavy object such as cooking pots. Neolith Sintered stone can be repaired by previous cleaning the surfaces with acetone, allowing it to evaporate before proceeding further. We recommend contacting a professional who will mix a two-part epoxy, adding the colour to tint the epoxy to match your Neolith countertop. They will grind down the surplus resin on the edge manually to avoid damaging the surface.

Technical Information

LightweightThe thickness of the slabs makes it a very light product and thus facilitates transportation and handling and reduces the load factor on cladding. 7kg/m2 for the 3mm option.
WaterproofNeolith sintering process confers the slabs less than 0,08% porosity. It does not absorb any water and it is resistant to stains, making it ideal for humid places.
UV ResistanceBeing 100% natural, its colors do not fade away when being exposed to sun light or other extreme weather conditions.
Resistant to High temperaturesResistant to High temperatures: It does not burn in contact with fire nor does it emit smoke or toxic substances when being subjected to high temperatures.
Resistance to wear and tearIts hard surface makes it resistant to scratches and abrasion when being exposed to extreme weather conditions (such as sand storms or other similar aggressions).
Bending resistanceIt has a high share rate, making it resistant to heavy loads and pressure as well as suitable for some curved applications.
Environmental-friendlyComposed entirely of natural material, completely recyclable. Up to 52% of recycled content. Greenguard, CE, NSF1 certifications. Its use in buildings grants LEED points to the project.
