Product Description

Azul Imperial quartzite is another variant of a rare quartzite from Brazil with striking appearance and thick veins ranging in white, golden and dark blue on a sky blue background glossy surface.

The stone’s name comes from its subtle blue backdrop which is combined with colours with mottles iridescent blue and peachy tones which offer an exuberant surface choice. The material is quarried in the northern regions of Brazil near Macaubas on extraction locations where the presence of silicate that provides the naturally blue colouration to this unique stone.

Azul Imperial quartzite is an extremely tough blue stone, that works like the most durable granite in both interior and exterior applications.

Also, Azul Imperial is an exotic material that will surely captivate anyone with its notable and awe-inspiring looks. The quartzite comes with medium block variation, further expanding design possibilities with slabs showing more greenish-blue and golden to violet veining across its surface.

Azul Imperial quartzite’s extreme resistance makes it suitable for exterior applications including swimming pool, saunas and pavings. The latter is rarely seen due to the cost implied in having this material in bespoke panels and sizes.

As with most quartzite, slabs are usually large and range in dimensions covering approximately six square meters which tend to be enough for most applications. Azul Imperial is available in 2cm and 3cm slabs, the most popular finish 2cm as it is suitable for kitchen worktop applications as well as for vertical works in splashbacks, wall panelling and facades.
