Lungomare quartzite is a creamy base coloured stone that comprises a striking swirly pattern in beige, cream and light brown tones and combination of a smooth and durable surface suitable for both interior spaces and harsh weather external conditions.
Originally quarried in Brazil this stone is suitable for specifications in which architects and interior designers require materials that will provide a unique and memorable look.
Lungomare quartzite’s characteristics are well received in interior spaces due to its metamorphic looks and similarities to natural marble. Whilst marble is made out of calcium and dolomite which makes it prone to etching and/or staining, quartzite comprises a substantially different mineral make up. Originally Sandstone, quartzite is form by being subjected to extreme heat a pressure on the earth’s crust which makes it far less susceptible to such occurrences yet slightly more than granite rocks.
Available in slab formats of 20mm and 30mm thickness and polished, honed, leather and Satinato finish Lungomare quartzite is a versatile and durable stone with an extreme resistance to accidental impact and suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
