Nero Marquina marble is a black limestone of the Carboniferous period with white calcite veins. Coupled with fossil fragments, this stone has been internationally classified as a marble. Due to the high content of organic carbon, this material can not always be recommended as worktops, but it makes beautiful wall coverings and work surfaces.
