Product Description

Taj Mahal quartzite is a natural stone from Brazil with a distinctive appearance. It features a delicate beige backdrop with veins ranging from whites, beige, hints of orange and greys. With incredible versatility, Taj Mahal  has the beautiful look of an exquisite marble and performs like the toughest granite. In addition, it offers a natural blend of resistant minerals that makes it great choice for demanding tasks.

This quartzite is a distinctive natural stone that differentiates from marble in that it does not contain calcium. Taj Mahal won’t etch when exposed to acid substances from orange, lemon and similar foods. In the same way, it makes Taj Mahal suitable for food preparation and applications such as kitchen worktops, bar counters and countertops that require a luxurious yet sturdy stone.

Taj Mahal is a quartzite stone under European Union mineral classification and as a granite in the United States and China. Some quarries will also name it ‘marble’ due to it similar looks to the popular stone. This can send mixed signals at the time of researching about this precious stone.

Taj Mahal comes in very large slabs with dimensions ranging in between 2800x1850mm and 3200x1950mm and with approximately 6.5 square meters of surface on each slab. It is a material that allows for large panels in wall cladding and striking pieces without any joints.
